However, the composer actually refers to the inhabitants of that beautiful country. Brazil is a melting pot of several human races. among the ancestors of the Brazilians were negroes, indians, whites and even Chinese. This mixture often produced really beautiful men and women with various musical gifts. the rythm of the negroes, the melancholy of the indians and the elaborate harmonics of the whites. Part 1. 'Passaros Colorides'. Multicoloured Birds. - Sometimes the composer uses this title literally by imitating some amazon-bird by means of an ocarina. or pan flute. Part 2. 'Pomba Triste'.
