NC.1123. 8 Brass. Level 4. Optional 9 Brass. A beautiful, "floating" samba written for the composer's wife. Ellesamba features a frontline of soprano saxophone, optional flute. Tenor III. , and flugelhorn. The piece opens with a lush brass chorale which leads into the relaxed samba feel. The development section of the chart features a saxophone section soli which builds into an exciting ensemble soli. Tenor Saxophone III optimally doubles on flute, but the double is not critical to performance. Trumpets double on flugelhorns.
