If you have ever had the joy to perform Gustav Holst’s FIRST SUITE IN E-FLAT FOR MILITARY BAND, you are aware that the second movement uses two E-flat clarinets on a very prominent line that cannot be omitted. But not many bands use E-flat clarinet anymore – much less likely two players. Holst skillfully wrote the FIRST SUITE so it could be performed with as few as 18 players. But for some reason, publishers have never cross-cued the E-flat clarinet parts in a suitable manner. until now. Here is the missing part.
