One of the constellations of the zodiac, Capricornus is also known as the Sea Goat, and has been depicted from earliest times as a figure whose upper half resembles a goat and whose lower half resembles the tail of a fish. The constellation is visible from the northern hemisphere in early autumn, reaching its highest point in September 1. Appropriate for middle school and smaller high school groups.
